Map of the Cuisine of the Americas

When we talk about American cuisine, we often think of burgers, fried chicken, or Texas barbecue. Yet, America is a vast territory stretching over 15,000 kilometers, from Patagonia to the wide-open spaces of Canada.

And on this vast land, the cuisines are as diverse as the landscapes.

From the ancestral traditions of indigenous peoples to European, African, and Asian influences, the cuisine of the Americas has been shaped by migrations, exchanges, and cultures. It tells a story of fertile lands, large livestock farms, forests, mountains, coasts, and oceans.
